A webinar entitled: "How to become a notified body for construction products?"

The webinar on "How to become a notified body for construction products?" organized by the Institute for Standardization of Serbia was held on December 7, 2020. The Accreditation Body of Serbia (ATS) also participated as a lecturer.

This webinar continues a series of webinars on amendments in construction legislation discussing a very important topic for all conformity assessment bodies (certification bodies operating certification of products/processes and testing laboratories) that want to become notified bodies for construction products.

The content of the first part of the webinar referred to the types of bodies and systems for assessment and verification of the constancy of performance of construction products, type and content of documents related to previously performed assessment and verification of the constancy of performance, as well as technical specifications and regulations related to the Law on Construction Products application. The aforementioned topics were presented by Nina Vukosavljevic, an independent advisor in the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.

The webinar continued with the topic related to the requirements for accreditation of testing laboratories/certification bodies operating certification of products and factory production control, presented by Natalija Jovicic Zaric MSc, the ATS Assistant Director of Development and Quality. The unbreakable link between accreditation and notification is presented, as well as the EA requirements regarding accreditation for notification purposes.

The second part of the webinar was devoted to the presentation of the bodies for assessment and verification of the constancy of performance and the bodies for technical assessment, i.e. their scope of work and requirements for notification, as well as activities related to the supervision of their work. These bodies were spoken about by Danijela Prsic, an independent advisor at the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.

The webinar was ended with a discussion between lecturers and students during which the lecturers answered questions related to the application of national legislation in this field.

Sincerely,
Your ATS
