PUBLIC INVITATION FOR APPOINTMENT OF STANDING TECHNICAL COMMITTEES

The Accreditation Body of Serbia (ATS) is one of the segments of the system of quality infrastructure in the Republic of Serbia bies carrying out its core activity, ie by assessing the competence of the conformity assessment body (testing laboratories, calibration laboratories, medical laboratories, inspection and certification bodies).
In order for the Accreditation Body of Serbia to perform its activities in a fully competent manner, the Accreditation Body of Serbia shall include in its work the necessary professional expertise in the relevant areas of accreditation by engaging experts in the work of technical committees that represent expert bodies that perform these activities on behalf of the Accreditation Body of Serbia.
Pursuant to Article 51 of the Statute of the Accreditation Body of Serbia ("Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia" No. 97/11), the procedure for selecting standing technical committees commenced, and they shall be established by the decision of the Director of the Accreditation Body of Serbia on the proposal of the Accreditation Council. The tasks of technical committees are:
- interpretation of requests and documents of international organizations in certain types and fields of conformity assessment and accreditation,
- consideration of proposals by international organizations (European Cooperation for Accreditation - EA, International Laboratory Accreditation Organization - ILAC, International Accreditation Forum - IAF) and their documents,
- providing assistance to the Accreditation Body of Serbia for expanding activities,
- participation in determining the criteria of competence for assessors in certain fields of conformity assessment and
- identification of potential assessors.
The Accreditation Council as an expert advisory body of the Accreditation Body of Serbia, at its session of May 5, 2017, identified stakeholders for the selection of technical committees and established criteria for the selection of members of technical committees. Members of technical committees shall be appointed for: laboratories (testing laboratories, calibration laboratories, medical laboratories), inspection and certification bodies. The basic criterion for appointing a member of a technical committee is the competence for a particular type of accreditation, ie conformity assessment (knowledge of national and international standards and regulations related to accreditation and conformity assessment activities). Competence shall be confirmed by a CV and a list of references - professional papers, professional results, etc.
Bearing in mind the above, we hereby invite stakeholders' representatives to submit to the Accreditation Body of Serbia, no later than 30th June 2017, proposals for the candidates of standing technical committees together with a CV and a list of references to professional papers, professional results and the like to the address: The Accreditation Body of Serbia, Vlajkovićeva 3 / V floor or by e-mail to office@ats.rs indicating which technical committee the application refers to.
