Cooperation with TAIEX

A meeting on the occasion of the expert mission organised by TAIEX on the subject of horizontal legislation governing internal market, quality infrastructure and accreditation was held on 7th October 2009 at the premises of the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development.

The main topic of the meeting pertained to the drafting of the new Law on Accreditation. The meeting was chaired by Jelena Popović, Assistant Minister in the Quality Infrastructure Department within the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development (MERD), while the meeting was attended by MERD representatives –Kosa Rašković, MSc, Head of the Quality Infrastructure Department, Snežana Matić, Senior Advisor and Jovan Petrović, Advisor, and the ATS representatives Dejan Krnjaić, PhD, Director, Biljana Tomić, Head of the Division for Legal and General Affairs, and Katarina Bogojevic, Independent Advisor.

It was planned that the Working Group in charge of the drafting of the law would commence its work thereon in November, whereas Mr Vitomir Fister, expert on the EU project entitled "Technical Assistance to Institutions of Quality Infrastructure in the Republic of Serbia", would also participate in the work of the Working Group.
