EU Organic Farming: Criteria for Accreditation by National Organisations
NoticesThe training entitled "EU Organic Farming: Criteria for Accreditation by National Organizations" was held in Skopje in the period between 8th and 10th May 2013 and was organised by the PTB Project and the Institute for Accreditation of the Republic of Macedonia (IARM). The training was attended by the representatives of accreditation bodies from Serbia, FYRM, Montenegro, Turkey, Albania and Kosovo (UN 1244).
The participants were introduced to the system, which is related to the import of products into the EU, however it was highlighted that the export licensing system would cease to apply from 1st July 2014. Specific characteristics of the assessment of the certification bodies providing certification of products in the field of organic production in relation to the requirements of EN 45011 / ISO/IEC 17065 were presented during training, including the procedures related to the inspection and certification activities in relation to Council Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 (Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007, on organic production and labeling of organic products and repealing Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91) and relevant implementation rules.
The representatives of accreditation bodies presented, during the training workshops, the current prospects and systems that had been put in place in the field of organic farming in their countries.
