Seminar for accredited testing laboratories in the field of analytical testing
Announcement of eventsOn 14th June 2011, the Accreditation Body of Serbia (ATS) will organise a one-day seminar dedicated to accredited testing laboratories in the field of analytical testing, at “Klub poslanika”, 2 Tolstojeva Street, Belgrade. The seminar will start at 10 a.m.
This will be the opportunity to present two international organisations, Eurachem and Eurolab, thanks to the assistance of renowned lecturers in this field.
Eurachem (http://www.eurachem.org/) is a network of organisations in Europe having the objective of establishing a system for the international traceability of chemical measurements and the promotion of good quality practices. Eurolab (http://www.eurolab.org/) is the European Federation of National Associations of Measurement, Testing and Analytical Laboratories.
Seminar programme:
- Presentation of Eurolab (organisational structure, mode of operation, cooperation with ILAC, EA and other interested parties, establishment of offices in other countries,…) - Jean-Marc Aublant, Eurolab Secretary;
- Guides for routine laboratory activities and Eurolab guide and alternative approaches to the assessment of uncertainty of measurement - Jean-Marc Aublant, Eurolab Secretary;
- Eurachem aims and organisational structure – analytical chemistry in Europe and why do we need a National Eurachem Committee? - Dr Kyriacos Tsimillis, Director of the National Accreditation Body of Cyprus (CYS-CYSAB);
- Why do we need measurements and how reliable they can be? - Dr Kyriacos Tsimillis, Director of the National Accreditation Body of Cyprus (CYS-CYSAB).
The lectures will be in English, but simultaneous translation will be provided.
