Follow-up activities as part of the bilateral PTB project

Current events

On 6th August 2015, a meeting that was held at the ATS premises was attended by Stefan Wallerath, PTB project coordinator, and ATS representatives as part of the bilateral PTB project entitled “Support of the Quality Infrastructure in Serbia”.

The key topic of the meeting related to the review of the Activity Programme of the bilateral PTB project for the period between January 2014 and December 2016 that would include the following activities: organisation of seminars and workshops; exchange of information and experiences in different fields of accreditation (with active participation of the ATS employees, assessors and experts); hiring of foreign assessors/technical experts for the purpose of ATS assessments, especially in case of extension to the scope of the ATS activities, and application of the New Approach Directives (especially the following Directives: Directive on Personal Protective Equipment, Directive on Equipment and Protective Systems Intended for Use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres, NAWI (Non-automatic Weighing Instruments) Directive, MI (Measuring Instruments) Directive and TPE (Transportable Pressure Equipment) Directive, EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) Directive, Noise Directive).

Both parties expressed mutual satisfaction with up-to-date cooperation with experts who participated in this project so far, and it was concluded that the forthcoming activities and training sessions to be realised in this phase of the project would continue to contribute to the upgrade of the ATS operation and accreditation system in the Republic of Serbia.
